According to TechCrunch, Google has just acquired Feedburner, a web feed management company for $100 million. With this acquisition, Google will have access to hundreds of thousands of blog’s RSS usage and feed count for a better blog search algo.
Interesting news for publishers currently running Feedburner’s advertising program because it’s likely that Google might integrate its Adsense contextual ad with Feedburner - for those bloggers who use blogs to generate revenue, the benefits is enormous.
I'm particularly intersted how other PPC adverstising sites like Chitika and BidVertiser will fare and how will Microsoft and Yahoo challenge Google almost strangle hold of the online marketing community.
